MAVADO CHARGED WITH GUN POSSESSION AND SHOOTING

Reggae Times has been reliably informed that one of Jamaica’s most popular dancehall entertainers, the self-proclaimed, “Gangsta for Life”, David Brooks, known to most Jamaicans as Mavado; was arrested on Wednesday night, March 26, and charged with two counts of Shooting with intent and the illegal possession of a firearm.

The information were gleaned from reports in the national media that quoted police spokesperson as saying that the charges arose out of an incident that occurred on July 27, 2007 at a 51A Mannings Hill Road location, in St Andrew.

The popular Reggae/Dancehall artiste is booked to appear in the Gun Court today Friday March 28, to answer to the charges.
