THE 2007 ACTOR BOY AWARDS

WINNERS

The 17^th staging of the Actor Boy Awards in Jamaica was held at the Pantry Theater Gardens on March 25, 2008. The Actor Boy Awards honours the best in Jamaican theatre in the technical, creative and performing spheres. Oliver Samuels who is known for his gift of brining laughter to the faces of his family, friends and audiences around the world, was honoured for his achievements in theatre.

Robert Lepage in his World Theatre Day Message said, “In order to represent the world in all its complexity, the artist must bring forth new forms and ideas, and trust in the intelligence of the spectator, who is capable of distinguishing the silhouette of humanity within this perpetual play of light and shadow [and sound]…. to “amaze and enlighten.”
