Siccature Alcock otherwise know as Jah Cure, or Iyah Cure has remained focus, since his re-emergence on the national recording scene. He continues to make a significant impact on both the national and international entertainment circuit with several new tunes and a European tour scheduled for this summer.

Jah Cure was nominated in four categories in the recently held Reggae Academy Awards (RAA). Cure secure nominations for the Most Popular Artiste, Best Solo Male Vocalist, while his song “Sticky” was nominated for Most Popular Song and the album “True Reflection” was nominated for album of the year. The Excellence In Music and Entertainment (EME) Awards also, made him a nominee in three categories: Song of the Year for “Sticky”, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Cultural Artiste of the Year. Jah Cure was also a nominee in the Irie FM Music Awards in the category, Singer of the Year. For the upcoming IRAWMA Awards he has been nominated in the categories Best Male Artiste and Best Album/CD.

The Danger Zone artiste is boasting a new album deal with SoBe Entertainment, and an upcoming tour schedule that is full to capacity. This development has definitely built on the momentum he has generated in 2007, and the performance that he did at Victoria Park in St Vincent on March 15 in front of 8000 patrons.

Jah Cure says, he is now focused on putting out some good records and is getting ready for the European tour. He is excited about the tour and he appreciates the overwhelming level of anticipation for his arrival in Europe.

Jah Cure will shoot three new videos; these include “The Journey”, “Green Grass” and “So High”. “So High is a collaboration with rapper Stacks from Miami, he is currently the CEO of SoBe Entertainment. The video will be shot in Orange Hill, Westmoreland and it will be directed by Jay Will.

Jah Cure’s new album, Jah The Universe Cure” is set for release in July 2008. This album, which is a Danger Zone/SoBe Entertainment project, features collaboration with some of the top names in International music such as Junior Reid, Sean Paul, Rapper Lil Wayne and Akon.
