introducING Althea Hewitt….

Debut Album in stores August 26th

Althea Hewitt, the award winning singer, will make her debut as a solo artist on August 26^th with her VP release Introducing Althea Hewitt. Produced by Grub Cooper (Fab 5) & guitarist Dwight Pinkney, her first album includes stand-out tracks “Boom Boom Boom” & “Crime Scene” and pays tribute to female reggae icons Marcia Griffiths, Phyllis Dillon & Cynthia Schloss.

Althea Hewitt began performing at age 5 and in her adolescent years began competing in Jamaica’s Teen Star Search. She went on to sing back up for Garnett Silk, Diana King, Richie Spice, amongst others and tour with acts like Bushman and Third World. After working with some top reggae producers and musicians, she was chosen by the Jamaica Tourist Board and the Jamaican Embassy in Brussels to do a three week tour in Belgium. Today, she anticipates the release of her debut album to showcase her solo career.
