Ventrice Morgan, daughter of Jamaica’s Ska veteran Derrick Morgan, popularly know as Queen Ifrica who hails from the Parish of Montego Bay, has been in the music business from as far back as 1995. So its safe to say she has ‘Music flowing through her veins’ en-grained in her DNA, since birth. The artiste also referred to as the” Fiyah Mumma” is signed to Flames Productions, and is known for hits like” In Times Like These’‘among other outstanding tracks.
The artiste is always offering great empowering advice to women young and old about self- respect, motivation and surviving abuse. She has decided to tackle the issue that we face today which sees an epidemic of ‘bleaching’ in Jamaica where persons have been trying to attain lighter skin tones. Black Woman as the title suggest seeks to educate other black women and give them the various reasons why they should take pride in their colour.
The song is promotion for Ifrica’s third album titled ‘‘Climb’‘ which consists of 17 tracks.The video shoot was done earlier this month on International Woman’s Day. The album is produced by VP Records and debuted number one on the Billboard Reggae Chart on 25 March last year. This achievement would be the first for an Jamaican female Artist in over three years.

Hence the artist is still in promoting mood as she is gearing up for her events throughout the year. Some of the events that she will make appearances at are Reggae on the Hill in Barbados in April and Jamrock Reggae Cruise in December. She also has shows in California and Europe to top it all off.
