Skip Marley and two-time 2019 Grammy Award-winning artist H.E.R collaboration on ‘Slow Down‘ has made the Top 20 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Rhythmic Songs and Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. Skip was born in Jamaica, now resides in Florida he is the grandson of Bob Marley and son of singer/designer Cedella Marley, a former member of Ziggy Marley and The Melody Makers and Bobs daughter. Skip taught himself to play the piano, drums, guitar, and bass, he released his first single, Cry to Me, and a second single called Life under the Tuff Gong label. He later signed with Blue Mountain Music, and joined his uncles Damian and Stephen on their Catch a Fire tour. He’s now signed to Island Records released his debut single Lionsit was later used in the Pepsi short film commercial. In early 2016, he was featured in a Gap Denim campaign

He is featured on, and co-wrote, Katy Perry’s 2017 single Chained to the Rhythm. The two performed the song at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards and also at the Brit Awards his list of collabs includes Chained to the Rhythm with (Katy Perry) ,Can’t Take It from Me (Major Lazer )and All I Am( Zhavia )
