Jamaican dancehall artiste Busy Signal is slated to perform for a second time at ‘Groovin In the park’ On June 24, 2018 at the Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York. This follows a year after the entertainer’s microphone was unexpectedly cut twenty minutes into his performance at the 2017 staging of the same event. Leaving Busy and his fans alike very unhappy and dissatisfied with the promoters. Busy could be heard declaring that R&B sensation R.Kelly (who was set to close the show after busy) cannot perform if he was unable to finish his set.
This would be the second time since his troubles with the law in 2012 which led to a six month prison sentence in the United States in which he is scheduled to perform.
Representatives from both camps have been having dialogue for months which came to a conclusion when both parties decided that Busy deserves his opportunity to finish what was started at Groovin In the Park the previous year.
Groovin In the Park celebrates eight years of the event by securing other revered Reggae artiste such as the ”Fire Man” Capleton,”Mr Love Doctor”Romain Virgo and American based R&B legend Babyface.
