Since 2013 Gosplash, promoted by Action Entertainment has been an annual event that features a number of gospel artistes both locally and internationally. On August 1, 2018 the Liguanea Golf Academy in New Kingston, St Andrew will be home to the 2018 staging of Gosplash and Gospel singer Chevelle Franklyn will be a major part of the lineup.
This will be the second time that Chevelle will grace the stage at Gosplash, since her life changing decision to move away from secular music and entertainment and give her life to the Lord.
“They can expect a great time in the presence of the Lord. Lives will be impacted and rejuvenated,” said Franklyn. “I’m super excited about Gosplash and I cannot wait to be there.”
Among the artistes booked for Gosplash are Jamaicans Jermaine Edwards, Glacia Robinson and American gospel singer CeCe Winans.
“As a secular act, I was just singing what persons wanted to hear, but now I sing only for God. I now have a better purpose, which aims at pleasing God,” she disclosed in a previous interview.
The album “Set Time” which was Franklyn’s latest project released in 2016 at number 12 on the Billboard Reggae Album chart.
“I’m actually in the studio cooking up something new, right now. So many things have been happening extensive touring in England and America and I’m also preparing to go back to Europe,” said Franklyn.
Since Chevelle has begun her musical path she is known for songs such as No Foreign God, Kill My Flesh, and Magnify His Name.
