Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley was announced winner of the Best Reggae Album, Sunday night January 28, 2018 at the International Reggae Act, New York’s Madison Square Garden. Marley came out on top from the five nominees that was nominated in the same category, which include Jamaican acts Chronixx (Chronology) and Morgan Heritage (Avrakedabra),Common Kings (Lost in Paradise) and Hawaii-based J Boog (Wash House Ting). Marley won for his 18-track album ‘Stony Hill’ which was released last year. Stony Hill album has a good track record since it was released and no sign of slowing down. The album was in sixth position on Reggae Billboard chart, recently peak at number one; celebrating 26 on the charts.
