Telecommunications company Digicel has given its clearest indication yet that it expects regulators to approve the deal it has struck to take over Claro’s business in Jamaica.
In a release issued on Tuesday, Digicel, said it was working to seamlessly integrate Claro’s business, which includes the 3G service into its own network.
The company said it will meet with Claro’s employees and dealers after regulatory approval to outline how the two businesses will operate as one.
However, Digicel is already integrating the two businesses, which suggests that it believes regulatory approval is a done deal.
According to Digicel, during the integration period, Claro’s customers will have no continued service.
Digicel hopes that the combined network will resonate strongly with all Claro customers.
