Bob Marley’s long-lost son? (The Jamaica Star)
Thirty-one years since the death of reggae icon Robert Nesta Marley, another reggae artiste has emerged claiming to be his offspring.
Forty-two-year old Fabian ‘Gong Kid’ Marley, says he is also a son of Bob Marley, which would make him the second sibling following Ziggy Marley, who is forty-four. Both Fabian and Ziggy were born in Trench Town.
According to Fabian Marley during a recent interview with Saudicka Diaram on Dwrap, his mother left Trench Town with him while he was just a child and he does not remember much about his father.

Sean Paul’s “Got 2 Luv U” Rocked Up 100 Million Views On YouTube (Urban Islandz)
Dancehall music is alive and well.
Sean Paul became the first dancehall artist to receive a milestone 100 million views on YouTube for one video.
The Grammy-winning dancehall star rocked up a whopping 100,363,834 views as of the time of this publication, for his single “Got 2 luv U” featuring pop singer Alexis Jordan.

A break for Buju? Juror’s alleged violation could spark mistrial in drug case (The Examiner)
As hope dwindles away for embattled Dancehall/Reggae superstar, Buju Banton, the prominent singjay could finally catch a break in his ongoing drug case, thanks to a juror.
Buju Banton is currently serving a 10-year sentence on drug-related charges and awaits sentencing on a gun charge in the matter on October 30. Constant appeals made on the artiste’s behalf have been shut down by the United States judicial system as Buju languishes in a Tampa-based federal facility, causing his fans worldwide to lose hope

THERE is talk among reggae/dancehall insiders that the music is experiencing a lull.
This may be the case with Jamaican artistes, but it is a different scenario for overseas producers who are releasing big-selling reggae/dancehall songs for famous artistes.

Tommy Lee Says He Is Ready To Kick Down Bounty Killer At Sting (Urban Islandz)
Tommy Lee recently said he will not be clashing Bounty Killer at Sting, but the “Psycho” deejay maybe having a change of mind.
During a recent interview with Up and Live, Tommy Lee says if Bounty Killer step to him at Sting he may have to kick him down similar to what Vybz Kartel did to Ninja Man during their infamous clash.
“If him forward on the stage then I don’t have no other choice but to cuff the goat head,” Tommy Lee said.

Half Pint Sound Heads To Video Games (The Jamaica Gleaner)
International reggae star Half Pint has secured a major publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) and a deal with Harmonix Music Systems to have his music played in a series of music video games, a move manager Loyal Haylett revealed is a major push for reggae.
