Inner City Youths to enjoy Free Father’s Day Concert

“A Father Change A Life” will take over the National Arena in St Andrew on Sunday June 17, 2018, as the free Father’s Day concert for over three thousand inner city youths will run from 11:00am to 5:30pm.

The entertainment package includes reknown Gospel entertainers such as  Kevin Downswell, Rondell Positive, and Dunamis as well as comedians Ity, and Owen Blacka Ellis.

“We are looking forward to this initiative making a positive impact on the lives of these young men, who presently see very little hope for their future. This is meant to offer them job and personal development opportunities as we work in partnership with the various agencies and organisations. It is a timely intervention as Jamaica faces a grim future, with scores of our young men continue to operate in a society without proper guidance, direction and support. We pray that this event will change the lives of the participants, their families and communities for a brighter future,“ said Daren Lawrence, a member of the planning committee. “We are amazed at the unbelievable level of support we have received from corporate Jamaica and government agencies for this project.”

JUTC buses will be parked at designated locations in Kingston and  St Catherine to transport the young men free of cost to and from the National Arena, where they will get the opportunity to interact with agencies and organizations through their representatives such as Jamaica Defense Force Recruitment Unit, the Ministry of National Security Expungement Unit, the Registrar General’s Department, Caribbean Maritime University, Police Youth Club, HEART Trust/NTA as well as The Restorative Justice among others.
