Retired Observer Senior Photo Editor Michael Gordon contributed 40 stellar years to photo journalism and was awarded an Order of Distinction in the rank of Officer in 1996 for his academic output. Michael Gordon unexpectedly died at his home in St Andrew recently, he was 67. He’s been attributed many distinctions in recognition of his expertise behind the camera, capturing many significant visits of world leaders including Nelson Mandela, Queen Elizabeth II , Barack Obama, Ray Charles and Prime Ministers Michael Manley and Edward Seaga just to name a few. Our deepest sympathy go out to his family and friends. Job well done, R.I.P
