On Wednesday March 5, last, ace deejay Vybz Kartel escaped injury after he was involved in an auto accident on his way home from the Asylum Nite Club, in New Kingston.
As it was explained to Reggae Times by a member of his entourage who was a passenger in the Honda Inspire Motor vehicle the deejay driving. “The teacha ah forward rounda him yard after ‘sylum and is like a man brakes up sudden pon him and him swerve and the car run up inna one light post and mash up. The car write-off but the deejay alright, only Ryno shake up, but dem do x-ray up a UWI hospital and everything alright. The next day, the deejay was up a Steven (Steven Stanley’s Studio), a voice so him alright.
The mishap occurred in Arcadia, Upper St Andrew. Kartel who is popular for creating such as dancehall hits as “More Money Fi Spend”, ‘Sen Fi Mi Army” and “My Scheme”, among others has been involved in quite a few auto accidents over the years. In 2003 he was hospitalized after being involved in one such accident.
When Reggae Times tried to reach the deejay by way of telephone to get comments from him, up to the time of posting his phone rang without answer.
