As the countdown for the summer’s biggest musical event Reggae Sumfest begins, organisers of the event, Summerfest Productions, are celebrating a win at this year’s International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA), bringing in the award for Promoter of the Year.
The Summerfest Production team is keeping secret the international acts they are in talks with for the Festival – which begins on July 19 with a beach party and continues with three days of magnificent live performances beginning on Thursday, July 23 and ending on Saturday, July 25 – but say that they are pleased with the direction the line-up is taking
With dancehall acts Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel, Mavado, Busy Signal, Elephant Man, Da’ville, Demarco, Spice, Black Rhino, Konshens, Kip Rich, D’Angel, Voice Mail and Stichie already confirmed for the show, along with reggae stars Tarrus Riley, Etana, Coco Tea, Inner Circle and Morgan Heritage, the show’s line-up is truly shaping up to be an entertainment explosion.
