“ROOTSREGGAERISING”

MusicPass Events in association with MPV Productions will present the first inaugural staging of the live cultural showcase, dubbed “ROOTSREGGAERISING” on Sunday April 5th 2009. It will be held at Finnigans Winery, located at 5 Cranbourne Avenue Kingston 10, and will feature live performances from some of  Reggae’s finest rising talents backed by the world renowned Uprising Band.

Artists scheduled to perform at this year’s staging will include the 2009’s biggest potential new comer Sophia Squire, European Reggae ambassadors Elijah Prophet and Winston McAnuff, The award winning Reggae soloist Lenn Hammond, upcoming instrumentalist/songwriter Jason Worton, emerging Dub Poet Ganja Iytes alongside Roots Reggae young blood Proteje.

Organizer of the event MusicPassJamaica hopes that the event will set a new standard in live music entertainment whilst providing a platform for some of Jamaica’s finest musical talents to be exhibited.

 

Showtime is 8pm sharp and tickets will be $800 dollars pre-sold and $1000 at the gate. Presold tickets will be available at Bourne’s Texaco, on the corner of South Avenue
