The Journey Chosen, Spragga Benz’s latest album was released on September 28 via Red Square Production. It consists of 11 singles which features collaboration with artistes such as : Konshens, Ky-Mani Marley, Kranium, Wayne Wonder and Jahazeil Myrie; Buju Banton’s son. The Journey Chosen has debuted at Number 10 on the US Current Reggae Albums Chart. Smashing hits on his album include: Take A Look at Streets, At My Door, Non-Stop Praises, J and Streets as well as  Never Leave which is a tribute to his son; Carlyle Grant who was shot and killed by the police on August 23,2008 in Kingston. Spragga Benz believes that the most powerful track on his album is “Guide My Life” because it is the path that we take which determines our success and we cannot live without someone guiding us throughout our journey. His publicist stated.

            The Journey Chosen is currently the eighth studio album for Spragga Benz. In 2019, it has topped the Billboard Reggae Album Chart. His previous albums include:  Jack It Up ;194, Uncommonly Smooth;1995, Two Bad Deejays with beanie Man; 1995, Fully Loaded; 2000, Live Good;2007 and Shatta Culture;2010. Born Carlton Grant, but is famously called Spragga Benz is a past student of the Camperdown High and the Craibbean Maritime University. He did his first recording; Jack It Up in 1992 at the Arrows Recording Studio in Kingston. Spragga Benz has also done two other mixtapes- Spragga Benz Me Name and Thug Nature. His other songs include: Turn Me On with Kevin Lyttle, Girls Hooray with Steelie and Cleevie and Could A Deal with Winston Riley.
