Having been postponed from its May 22 scheduled start in Portmore, it’s all systems go for the first audition in the 2010 Tastee Talent Trail season. The new date is Saturday June 5, in Portmore. A team of celebrity judges has been assembled to be the faces of this year’s Tastee Talent Trail series. Elva has been appointed the host for this year’s show while the judges’ panel consists of sports jo urnalist Oral Tracy of “Sports Commentary”, actress Audrey Reid and artiste Timberlee.
These celebrity judges will be responsible for the selection of those going forward from each audition moving to the following locations — May Pen on June 12; Ocho Rios on June 26; Savanna-la-mar, July 3; Montego Bay on July 31 and ending in Kingston August 28.Sponsored by Tastee and Pepsi, the Talent Trail this year caters more to television viewers and has moved to TVJ. There is also a slew of new sponsors, including Claro, Breezes, Supreme Ventures, RE TV, Hitz 97, RJR 94 FM KSAC and Kosmo Tours.
The Tastee Talent Trail is offering a whopping $1 million in cash for this year’s first prize, $250,000 for second place and $50,000 for third. The finals will be held in Kingston at the Tastee head office open air theater in Cross Roads on December 16.Previous Winners of the Talent Contest include King Yellowman, and Papa-San.
