After completing a seemingly successful tour across Europe Dancehall artiste Mr Vegas is back in the island. The ‘I AM BLESSED TOUR’ started on July 13th at the Summer Reggae Fest at Fort de Saint Pere in
“The most challenging part of the tour was flying almost every day with two or three connections, and in a different type of climate in every country. It’s also hard to find food especially for myself because of my reflux (problems) so at times it’s just one meal per day. The shows were great we did not take an engineer with us so we had a sound problem on some shows but we made the best use of what we had and gave the people what they came to see – great, high energy performances. I can’t tell definitively which show was better than the other but for me though, I would love to sit and watch the recording of when I closed the show at the Dour festival in
The song after which the tour is named is enjoying heavy rotation on the international scene. The song is hitting the top spots on charts locally and internationally and Mr Vegas is pleased by the response that it is getting.
“It was surprising how many young teenagers are following Mr Vegas, the shows were well attended and I Am Blessed was like an anthem everywhere we played,” he said.
After his slated performance last night at the
“Mr Vegas just keeps working, I am truly blessed,” he said.
He is scheduled to perform at The Roxy in
